Song of the Week: Broomstick Cowboy

This week's Song is Bobby Goldsboro's "Broomstick Cowboy", which was featured on the Supernatural 12x11 episode, "Regarding Dean".
The song plays when we finally get to see Dean ride that bull. It's awesome, and hilarious, and when you listen to the lyrics, poignantly sad all at the same time. Which is pretty much what makes Supernatural so very great even 12 seasons in! Listen to the song above, then see how it was used in the show below.
Oh Dean. That's why we all love you. I'm not going to lie, this episode made me cry. Like Sam, it was nice to see Dean completely free of all the angst, guilt, and sorrow, of being a hunter, but at the same time it was heartbreaking to see him losing himself. *sniff* But for that brief moment of bull-riding, he was just a carefree little boy again, having fun, because like the song says, "dream on little broomstick cowboy. Dream while you can. For soon you'll be a dreadful thing. My son, you'll be a man."
