Song of the Week: 'Ho Hey'

This week's Song is a no-brainer. It's The Lumineers' "Ho Hey", which was featured on The X-files fifth episode of Season 10, Babylon. In a very uncharacteristic (super sweet!) X-files way, this song was featured in the last scene where Mulder invites Scully to take a walk with him, and "Ho Hey" enters the vault of sacred X-philes songs right up there with Three Dog Night's "Joy to the World" and Cher's version of "Walking In Memphis". The words of the song say what we all know but nobody ever says out loud:
I belong with you, you belong with me, you're my sweetheart I belong with you, you belong with me, you're my sweet
And here's how it was used in the show. I very much loved that "so show me family" played as Scully drove up.
Ah! They cut off the end! Oh well, guess you'll just have to go watch it for yourself. :)
